Michael Friedman, Georgia workers' compensation attorney at DeMedeiros Injury Law

Georgia Workers’ Compensation Attorney

Michael Friedman

With more than three decades focused on workers’ compensation law, Michael Friedman brings rare depth of experience to every case. He spent the first half of his career defending employers and insurers — and now uses that insider knowledge to fight for injured workers across Georgia.

About Michael

Michael Friedman joined DeMedeiros Injury Law in April 2026, bringing 33 years of workers’ compensation experience to the firm. He earned his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1992. Since 1993, he has devoted his practice exclusively to workers’ compensation law.

Michael spent the first 18 years of his career representing employers and their insurance companies. That work gave him invaluable insight into how insurers evaluate, fight, and try to minimize workers’ compensation claims. Since 2011, he has put that insider perspective to work for the people on the other side of the table — injured workers. Over his career he has represented claimants in more than a thousand depositions and hundreds of hearings and mediations, and he has tried over 100 cases before administrative law judges at the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation.

Michael is caring and compassionate and genuinely cares about his clients. He works zealously to make sure they receive every workers’ compensation benefit to which they are entitled. He knows the games the insurance companies play, has no tolerance for them, and aggressively pursues every benefit for his clients. His favorite authors are Mark Twain and Ayn Rand because they “tell it like it is” — a philosophy Michael carries straight into his legal representation.
