Meet Rick DeMedeiros

Georgia Workers’ Compensation & Personal Injury Attorney
Rick DeMedeiros
When you are hurt, you need more than a lawyer who knows the law. You need someone who will answer your questions, explain the process, and help you make decisions with confidence. That is how Rick DeMedeiros has approached every case since being admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2004.
About Rick
Rick was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico and raised in Orlando, Florida and Peachtree City, Georgia. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration, magna cum laude, and his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law. During law school he served as a Senator of the Student Bar Association, received honors for his performance in Litigation, and became a certified neutral through the Fulton County Magistrate Court Landlord-Tenant Mediation Program. He was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2004 and has practiced in Georgia ever since.
Rick began his legal career in Marietta and later worked for an insurance defense firm in Atlanta, where he defended employers and insurance companies in workers’ compensation matters. That experience gave him an inside view of how insurers evaluate claims, where injured workers tend to lose ground, and how the defense builds its case. Today he uses that same knowledge on the other side of the table — helping injured people understand the system, avoid the mistakes insurers count on, and pursue the full benefits and compensation available under Georgia law.
Over two decades of practice, Rick has handled hundreds of workers’ compensation and personal injury claims for injured Georgians across the state, anchored at his Alpharetta office. He represents clients in both English and Spanish, so language is never a barrier to understanding your own case. You can read answers to common questions on our Workers’ Compensation FAQ page.

- He explains the plan before taking action.
- He keeps clients updated throughout the case.
- He communicates in plain English, not legal jargon.
- He is available in English and Spanish.
- He treats every client like a person, not a file number.
